Save Money using Solar Energy

Solarus Energy Group of Boca Raton Florida knows solar energy is the cleanest and most inexhaustible of all known energy sources. Solar radiation is the heat, light and other radiation that is emitted from the sun. Solar radiation contains huge amounts of energy and is responsible for almost all the natural processes on earth. Even though Florida is known as the Sunshine State we are not the leading state for solar energy.  Solarus Energy Group has made a commitment to help America, and the state of Florida in Broward, Palm Beach and Martin counties to achieve energy independence,
by providing technology  and products to convert one roof at a time to capturing solar energy for your home and business.

Thermal energy can be used to passively heat buildings through the use of certain building materials and architectural design, or used directly to heat hot water for household use or pools & spas. In many regions, solar water heaters are now a viable supplement or alternative to electric or gas hot water production. In Florida the Apricus Ap30 System can heat your hot water to 180 degrees giving residential & commercial systems abundant hot water for your use.

Thermal energy obtained from the sun can be used for a number of applications including producing hot water, space heating and even cooling via use of absorption chilling technology. In South Florida the use of photovoltaic solar panels to convert the sun’s energy to electric with silicon based or the new flexible light weight thin film material (cigs) is a great option since we get all that FREE Sunshine.

Using solar and other forms of renewable energy reduces reliance on fossil fuels for energy production, thus directly reducing CO2 emissions. CO2 emissions contribute to global warming, an environmental issue which is now of great concern. The average household can reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 20% (10800lbs) by installing a thermal hot water solar collector. An average hot water solar panel system can obtain 10800lbs of carbons credits in one year. These credits can be sold for cash each year you own a solar hot water heater.

Solarus Energy Group is a dealer of Apricus®/Solarus® brand solar thermal collectors. The state-of-the-art Apricus AP-30 and Solarus Aquatherm 8040 solar thermal systems are capable of efficiently producing enough hot water for a family of four. We now offer photovoltaic systems that Turn Sunshine Into Dollars by selling electricity back to (FPL) that are approved by FSEC.  These approved systems are installed by K.S. Geisler Electical Contractors. It’s easier Going Green with the solar guys from Solarus Energy Group.

World oil prices strike record peaks above $119

April 22, 2008 NEW YORK (AFP) - World oil prices jumped to record peaks above 119 dollars on Tuesday in response to the weak US dollar, unrest in Nigeria and OPEC's reluctance to hike output, traders said. Global supply jitters have seen oil contracts traded in New York spike by more than 57 dollars in the past year, sparking concerns that sky-high prices could harm US economic growth which has already slowed sharply.

Dr. Alex Marker, a research fellow for SCHOTT Solar, today provided expert testimony to the Commission on Security and Cooperation Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission) regarding the economic impact of a robust solar industry in the U.S. "Renewable energy is domestic energy. Domestic energy not only means jobs for Americans, but it means reducing our dependence upon politically unstable regions of the world. Renewable energy is as much about energy security as it is about reducing greenhouse emissions and creating thousands of new jobs each year," said Marker. "We have the opportunity today to address the challenge of global warming while also growing our economy. All we need to do is harness the power of the sun."
